A Hove school is holding a celebration evening to commemorate a popular teacher who died suddenly last month.
Mike Fawcett, an English and drama teacher at Blatchington Mill, was found dead at his home on Wednesday 18 November. He was 40.
His parents Eric and Pauline and sister Jacqui are holding a private family funeral.
But given the many people touched by his death, Blatchington Mill School is hosting a celebration of Mr Fawcett’s life on Wednesday 16 December from 6pm to 8pm.
A fund – the Mike Fawcett Memorial Fund – has been set up and donations can be sent to Caring Lady Funeral Directors at 38 Blatchington Road, Hove, BN3 3YH.
