Pride's Street Party saved by Aquarium Bar

The Pink Paper is reporting that traders are rallying to save the St James’s Street Pride Party.

The annual street party, which although not part of the official celebrations has become closely associated with it, was almost cancelled following the arrest of a man over the disappearance of £10,000 from last year’s budget.

But now, Michael Condon, landlord of The Aquarium Bar is leading other traders in a drive to raise funds for the necessary security to satisfy the council and police so a licence can be issued.

Sadly they don’t allow security contract to go out to tender, there are some very good firms in Brighton, who could do it a lot cheaper than their current supplier.
