New night bus links Brighton, Shoreham, Worthing and Durrington

A new nightbus is to start running on weekend nights between Brighton and Broadwater.

The N700 will operate on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights running along Western Road through Hove, then Hove Street, Kingsway, Shoreham, South Lancing, Worthing and Durrington.

It will be operated by Coastliner, which is also extending its 700 service to run half hourly into the evening until about 11.30pm from Monday to Saturday. This runs from Brighton to West Worthing.

Councillor Geoffrey Theobald, cabinet member for environment, said: “The bus operators are very supportive of our night-time economy and this new service will provide more choice for both residents and those coming into the city from the West Sussex coast.”
