Police are appealing for witnesses after an 18-year-old Whitehawk man came of his bicycle at around 4.45pm yesterday.
The man suffered serious head injuries after loosing control of his bicycle whilst riding down Haybourne Road, Whitehawk, Brighton.
The cyclist was not wearing a safety helmet and remains in hospital where he is being treated for head injuries.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to contact them on 0845 60 70 999 quoting Op Ingworth.
