Suspected Brighton flasher sent for trial by jury

Suspected flasher committed for crown court trial

A suspected flasher has been sent for trial at Lewes Crown Court by Brighton magistrates.

Paul Goodenough, 39, of Sandes Place in Leatherhead, Surrey, is due to have a trial date set at a plea and case management hearing on Friday 17 December.

He faces a jury trial on three charges.

Two of the charges accuse him of knowingly or recklessly trespassing on premises with intent to commit a sexual offence.

The third charge is that he exposed himself.

The first two charges relate to incidents in Ditchling Road, Brighton, on Sunday 16 August last year, and Gratwicke Road, Worthing, on Sunday 31 January this year.

The exposure charge, for intentionally exposing his genitals intending that someone would see them and be caused harm or distress, follows an incident in Brighton on Sunday 21 February.

He was remanded on bail.
