Way Out West are electronic music producers Jody Wisternoff and Nick Warren who originate from Bristol. They met in a record shop that Nick was working in way back in 1994 and have been producing music ever since.
They are most likely remembered for their absolutely awesome 1996 Top 15 trippy single ‘The Gift’, which used a sample from Joanna Law’s cover of ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’ and was the third track culled from their debut eponymous album.
Jody and Nick have so far released five Way Out West studio albums, namely Way Out West (1997), Intensify (2001), Don’t Look Now (2004), We Love Machine (2009) and the new 2017 release ‘Tuesday Maybe’.
The duo have now confirmed that they will be playing live at seven select venues across the land and this includes the Concorde 2 in Brighton on Saturday 17th February in order to showcase tracks from this new eleven-song album, in addition to picks from their huge back catalogue. The doors will be swung open at 7pm and the event finishes at 10pm, so clubbers please note that this is an early rave.
