Report of Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman
The Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman has issued a report following its investigation of a complaint against Brighton & Hove City Council. The complaint was about a housing matter which occurred between July and September 2016. The Ombudsman found that there had been fault on the part of the council, and this had caused injustice to the complainant.
The council will now consider the report at its Audit & Standards Committee on 24 July 2018. The council has accepted the Ombudsman’s findings and his recommendations. The council must now consider the report and tell the Ombudsman within three months of the actions the council will take in response to his report.
Copies of the report will be available for public inspection during normal office hours at Hove Town Hall, Norton Road, Hove BN3 3BQ for three weeks starting on 18 July 2018. Anyone is entitled to take copies of the report or extracts from it, there will be no charge. Alternatively, the report may be viewed at www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/lgsco-report
