A Brighton man has won a lottery prize worth almost £78,000, according to the operator Allwyn.
The company said: “A family man from Brighton has won £77,954.20 after matching five main numbers in the EuroMillions draw on Friday 17 July 2026.
“The winner always plays by direct debit and, when he’s feeling lucky, tops up his account to play a few extra games. That instinct paid off handsomely with his biggest ever win.
“He now plans to get the family together for a nice meal, top up his ISAs (Individual Savings Accounts) and plan for the future.
Speaking about the win, he said: “It’s just brilliant. My family didn’t believe me at first because we usually only win a few pounds.
“But after a bit of convincing, they’re all excited and really looking forward to enjoying the summer.
“It’s a wonderful feeling to be able to treat everyone and put something away for the future too.”
