NHS Brighton and Hove has launched the city’s first immunisation week on Monday, June 7 to reduce the level of childhood diseases in the city.

Working alongside the Children and Young People’s Trust, the NHS plans to encourage parents to have their children immunised following recent outbreaks of measles and mumps which have caused serious complications for some children.

The city’s immunisation specialist nurse will be on the community health bus on Wednesday, June 9, visiting three locations.

Moulsecoomb Children’s Centre from 8.30–11.30am (parked near Moulsecoomb Community Leisure Centre in Moulsecoomb Way).

North Portslade Children’s Centre, The Rise, Portslade from 11.45am – 1pm

School Road, West Hove from 1.30–4.30pm.
