Headmix & Tragic Roundabout: Live Music Extravaganza – Preview
Two long-standing Brighton acts reunite for a one-off night of live music at Klub Kaput at Caravanserai on Friday 29 May as part of Brighton Fringe.
Headmix & Tragic Roundabout: Live Music Extravaganza brings together two bands that first emerged from Brighton’s 1990s music scene (and every festival ever), sharing a bill again after many years.
Tragic Roundabout are known for their high-energy blend of punk, ska and klezmer influences, layered with an eastern European edge. Their sets combine political bite with humour and a deliberately chaotic, irreverent style.
Headmix Collective take a different but equally eclectic approach, mixing bagpipes, fiddle, accordion, whistle and melodica with driving rhythms and vocals. The band has built a following on the festival circuit across the UK and Europe, with a reputation for creating an intensely danceable live experience.
The night opens with a set from DJ Don Dapper, spinning a mix of Afro, Balkan, cumbia, dub and swing.
Come ready to cut loose!
