Brighton’s award-winning ‘On The Beach’ festival, presented by Louder and JOY. Concerts, returns in July 2027 for its seventh edition on the city’s iconic seafront. The festival will launch on 9th July with Pete Tong presents Ibiza Classics with Tom Richards Essential Orchestra, with Sonny Fodera also announced for Saturday 24th July.

Pete Tong

One of electronic music’s most influential figures, Pete Tong MBE has spent more than three decades shaping dance music as a DJ, producer and BBC Radio 1 broadcaster. His acclaimed Ibiza Classics show reimagines some of the genre’s best-loved anthems with the Essential Orchestra, conducted by Tom Richards, whose credits include arranging and conducting RAYE’s My 21st Century Symphony at the Royal Albert Hall.

Multi-platinum-selling DJ and producer Sonny Fodera brings his signature house sound to Brighton beach on Saturday 24th July, following the sell-out of all four dates on his March 2027 UK arena tour, including Manchester’s Co-op Live and London’s The O2. Known for hits including ‘Asking’, his latest album, can we do it all again?, reached the UK Top 20. His international headline shows and Pacha Ibiza residency have established him as a major draw on the global dance circuit.

On The Beach won ‘Best Location’ at the Skiddle Awards this year. Its seafront stage hosted 40 artists across eight shows and two weekends with headliners Fatboy Slim, Madness, The Maccabees and Moby, and a line-up that spanned electronic, indie and alternative music.

On The Beach recently announced that it will make its Great Yarmouth debut in June 2027, marking the festival’s first move beyond its original home. The new four-day event will take place on Great Yarmouth’s sandy beach from 17th–20th June, with Olly Murs announced as the first headliner, performing on 18th June.

Launched in 2021, On The Beach has previously hosted sold out shows from Fatboy Slim, Chase & Status, Above & Beyond, Bicep, Eric Prydz, Underworld and Carl Cox alongside Royal Blood, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, The Libertines, Bloc Party, Kaiser Chiefs and The Kooks.

Alongside its cultural impact, On The Beach has become an important contributor to Brighton’s local economy. According to an Economic and Social Impact Report, the festival generated over £8.3 million for the city in 2025, attracting more than 59,000 attendees, with around two-thirds travelling from outside Brighton. The event supported over 300 jobs and delivered more than £3 million in visitor spending across local businesses, accommodation and hospitality.

Cllr David McGregor, Cabinet Member for Economy, Culture, Heritage & Tourism, Brighton and Hove City Council, commented, “We’re delighted that On The Beach will return to Brighton & Hove in 2027. Events are critical to making Brighton & Hove such a distinctive place to live, work and visit, and bring significant benefits to our communities and economy. Last year, On The Beach generated around £8 million for the city’s economy and created a second-to-none experience for visitors and residents alike. It’s quickly becoming a key part of our events calendar in the year.

“Events are critical to our ambition of Building a Better Brighton for all. I had so many positive messages about On the Beach last year from residents, so we can’t wait for it to come back next year!”

An On The Beach spokesperson said, “We can’t wait to return to Brighton beach in 2027, with Pete Tong’s Ibiza Classics and Sonny Fodera giving a first taste of what’s to come. We’re proud of the contribution On The Beach makes to the local economy and grateful to our audiences, our team, local partners and everyone across the city who has helped make it a success. We’re also delighted to partner with Music Support, supporting the people who make live music possible. We can’t wait to share the rest of the line-up.”

On The Beach recently announced its partnership with Music Support for the Great Yarmouth edition, it is proud to extend that partnership to the Brighton series. Music Support is the charity supporting people working in the UK music industry who are affected by mental health, substance use or addiction challenges.

Terrible venue, extortionate prices, poor audio. Bad place for a large gig. I will be avoiding it after last years dismal efforts.
