Dozens of streets in Brighton and Hove are to be included in controlled parking zones after a town hall meeting this week.
Councillors have included roads in Baker’s Bottom and the Lewes Road Triangle, in Brighton, and more roads in Wish ward in Hove. The Lewes Road Triangle scheme alone is likely to net the council a six-figure sum every year.
The decisions were made at a Brighton and Hove City Council meeting on Tuesday (7 October).
A report to members of the council’s Environment, Transport and Sustainability Committee said that the council had received requests for surveys and consultations with a view to extending controlled parking further.
They included people living north of Preston Drove, in the Hanover and Elm Grove area and north of Hove Park as well as a few people in South Portslade and East Brighton.
