Gingerman Restaurants to open new Kemp Town restaurant

A successful Hove restaurant chain is asking for help in naming its new Brighton gastro pub.

Gingerman Restaurants already runs the Gingerman in Norfolk Square, Hove, the Ginger Pig in Hove Street, Hove, and the Ginger Fox in Hassocks.

Its next eaterie will be in College Place, taking over The Wellington, which has been sold by its owners Punch Taverns and will be closing at the end of the month.

It knows the first half of the name will be Ginger – but is asking people on Facebook to help out with the rest.

So far, The Ginger Beer or The Ginger Duck are the favourites – but with a meal for two on offer for the winning suggestion, it’s well worth having a go yourself.

Meanwhile, another planned restaurant’s licensing application is due to be heard by Brighton and Hove City Council on Monday.

Cote Restaurants wants to open a French restaurant at the Old Music Library in Church Street, Brighton. It seeks permission to open until midnight on Sundays to Wednesdays and 1am from Thursdays to Saturdays.

Does anyone know how to get in touch with the Kemptown based Ginger Dog & if they take reservations?
I am having a spot of bother finding contact details since it changed hands…
