A Hove man has been charged with having drugs worth an estimated £30,000 after a raid by detectives.
Leon Flanigan, 55, was arrested yesterday (Wednesday 9 October) and brought before magistrates today.
He has been remanded on bail to appear before a crown court judge on Thursday 7 November.
He is accused of having heroin and crack cocaine, drug-dealing equipment and a significant amount of cash.
Sussex Police said: “Detectives in Brighton arrested a man and seized a substantial quantity of drugs when they executed a drugs warrant at a Hove address.
“The warrant was executed at the Boundary Road address on Wednesday (9 October) and drugs, believed to be both crack cocaine and heroin were recovered.
“The potential street value is estimated to be at least £30,000.
“Some £1,000 cash and drugs-related paraphernalia such as scales were also recovered.
“Leon Justin Flanigan, 55, unemployed, of Boundary Road, was charged with possession of class A drugs with intent to supply and appeared in custody at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (10 October).
“He was given court bail and was sent for trial at the crown court with an initial pre-trial preparation hearing on (Thursday) 7 November.”
