A motorcyclist was badly hurt after his bike crashed with a car on Lewes Road, Brighton, in yesterday’s evening rush hour.
The 30-year-old Brighton man’s leg was broken in several places after his Suzuki bike collided with a silver Toyota Corolla in the northbound lane at 5.45pm. His wrist was also broken.
The driver of the Toyota, a 60-year-old woman from Brighton, was uninjured.
The motorcyclist was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital and the road was closed for about 40 minutes.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact 0845 60 70 999 quoting serial 1258 of 26/01.
