A pet snake has been discovered hiding away in a nook of its Brighton home – nine months after it gave its young owner the slip.
The BBC reports that Sirus Nimmo, 10, lost Caroline the corn snake when he left the lid of her tank open in April 2009.
But on Wednesday, the reclusive reptile was discovered in a cavity wall by builders pulling down the ceiling in Sirus’s room.
