Plans for Portslade Community College to be turned into an academy could be halted under Government cuts.

Yesterday, education secretary Michael Gove revealed a list of schools building projects which would be scrapped.

Gone is a project at Hove Park School and Sixth Form, and the controversial Portslade Academy project is now up for discussion.

However, the Brighton Aldridge Community Academy, due to open this September to replace Falmer High, is still to go ahead.
