The Foo Fighters sent Brighton rock fans into a frenzy yesterday by tweeting a heavy hint that they may be playing in Brighton this week.
The band have officially announced they’re going to play three intimate club gigs this week.
And last night, they tweeted a picture of some sticks of rock from Brighton, with a lyric from the 1974 Queen song Brighton rock.

The venue was not officially announced until 4pm, but three tour buses were spotted outside Concorde 2 on Madeira Drive, where people started queuing mid-morning. At about 3.15pm, the Foo Fighters tweeted that a link for tickets would go live at 4pm. Within four minutes, tickets for the Wednesday show, billed as being by The Holy Sh*ts and priced at £27.50, had sold out.
The Foo Fighters previously played a gig there in 2007.
