The Albion threw away an early lead after Bruno Saltor chipped Cardiff keeper David Marshall from a tight angle.

Within seconds Kenwyne Jones headed Cardiff level as David Stockdale called for the ball then missed it right on the edge of the penalty area.

Albion director Ray Bloom told Brighton and Hove News: “Albion had a great first half and created some good chances but now need to convert some of those in the second half.”
