1) Albion keeper David Stockdale has recently played golf with Ryder Cup player Ross Fisher. The pro allowed Stocko a very generous handicap but the Albion keeper claims to have won. Telling Brighton & Hove News they played at a course near Banstead in Surrey and scored that he scored 40 points, the Albion keeper was however protective of his current handicap. “It’s nice to beat a Ryder Cup winner on a Wednesday afternoon”. Stockdale also told @bhcity news “it’s too cold for fishing at the moment”
2) Tomorrow’s opponents Leeds are unlikely to make the play-offs or be relegated. Chris Hughton agreed that they can play without fear and that could make them a difficult proposition.
3) David Stockdale was quick to point out to a press room colleague that Albion have only lost two league games away from home this season . And he was quite defensively proud of that record.
4) Chris Hughton said that Danny Holla often does extra training sessions even though he has had limited first team or even Under 21 action . Saying Holla must keep himself focused and fit as no one knows when the opportunity might arise for first team action.
5) David Stockdale said he took the pre match team talk at Bristol City and described Bruno as a relaxed motivator, and that Gordon Greer loves to shout to motivate himself and the team. The Albion keeper also said he used a bit of kidolgy on Bristol City penalty taker Kieran Agard as the City players decided who should take the kick, Agard or Lee Tomlin , Stockdale shouted to the referee that “they were looking a bit nervous” Agard promptly smacked the penalty against the cross bar. Liam Rosenior apparently motivates his team mates by telling them that ‘he loves them’ and is all flowers and peace …..that could be reciprocated city wide come May.
