Brighton and Hove Albion will play Reading in the 3rd round of the English League Cup next month.
The fixture will be the club’s first home third round tie in the tournament since hosting Liverpool in 2011.
The match will be played at the Amex Stadium in the week beginning Monday 19 September.
The two sides have already met in the Championship, last Saturday (20 August), with the Royals coming from behind to draw 2-2. Jaap Stam’s side became the first to score in the league against Albion this season.
The Seagulls went through in the League Cup after a 4-2 win at Oxford United on Tuesday 23 August, with goals from Sam Adekugbe, Kazenga LuaLua, Elvis Manu and Tomer Hemed.
