A thief pushed a woman over and snatched her bag in a Hove street early this morning (Tuesday 8 August).
She gave chase but was unable to catch the man, Sussex Police said. He escaped with her passport, bank cards and cash.
The force said: “Police are seeking witnesses to an incident in which a 33-year-old woman walking in Clarendon Road, Hove, was pushed over and had her shoulder bag snatched from her.
“The robbery occurred at around half an hour after midnight during the early hours of Tuesday 8 August.
“Although the woman gave chase, the offender ran off through the Goldstone flats car park.
“The woman’s peach-coloured bag contained some £50 cash, a passport and two bank cards.
“The offender is described as a white man, 5ft 10in, of medium build and with a shaved head.
“He was wearing a dark coloured jacket and trousers.
