Raucous Leeds garage-grunge outfit Weekend Recovery who are Lorin (vocals/guitar), Josh (bass) and Marcus (drums), are set to land in Brighton on Thursday 7th November as the opening date of their much anticipated UK tour.
With extensive support from the likes of Kerrang!, Planet Rock, NME, and Radio X already under their belts, the three-piece are fast building a reputation as one of the must-see new alternative bands on the UK circuit. Championed for their live shows, the band are on a six-date run through November, and kick off with the Brighton date at The Prince Albert.
‘The Albert’ venue is located at the very top of Trafalgar Street and is always a hive of activity. This is partly due to its idea location in being located virtually under Brighton’s main railway station, thus drawing in music punters from far and wide. The concerts in the venue are virtually always packed out and so if furious guitar riffs and all consuming vocals that swiftly engulf you is your kinda thing then it does sound as though Weekend Recovery are for you!
Weekend Recovery cite their inspirations as Paramore, Pretty Reckless, Bikini Kill and Oasis. So it’s no wonder that they have not surprisingly caught the ears of many industry leading blogs, leading them to be championed by the likes of Louder Than War, who premiered their album ‘Get What You Came For’. Whilst also being recommended by Abbie McCarthy on BBC Introducing in Kent.
Support at the Brighton gig comes from local favourites Naipia and Snayx. So go and get your ‘weekend recovery’ nice and early, but grabbing your tickets HERE before they’ve all gone!
