Police Cops return to Brighton with award-winning comedy hit

Police Cops at Brighton Fringe

Multi award-winning comedy show Police Cops returns to Brighton this May, with a run at the Spiegeltent at the SpiegelGardens.

Created by Police Cops, the London-based trio of Zachary Hunt, Nathan Parkinson and Tom Roe have built a strong following since their debut in 2014. Known for their highly physical, fast-paced style, the company has enjoyed sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe (2016–2019) and at Soho Theatre, alongside international performances in Melbourne and South Africa. The cast is said trio with Zachary Hunt as Jimmy Johnson, Tom Roe as Harrison and Nathan Parkinson as Chief Malloy.

Their productions, Police Cops, Police Cops in Space and BADASS Be Thy Name, combine parody and satire with cinematic staging, inventive physical storytelling and a deliberately offbeat comic style.

This original Police Cops show, now revived and updated, is a high-energy send-up of classic action films. Set in the ‘present day’ of 1976, it follows straight-laced rookie officer Jimmy Johnson as he sets out to avenge his brother’s death. Teaming up with a disgraced former partner, the pair uncover a web of crime in a fast-paced and knowingly ridiculous storyline.

It promises to be a corker!
