PREVIEW: Time Keeps the Drummer at Brighton Festival – Brighton Dome Corn Exchange
Leave your ram-pa-pums at home, Fevered Sleep’s Time keeps the Drummer is an explosion of feelings, movement and sound.
This is Fevered Sleep’s 30th year and it is eyeing the family-inclusive space.
Established in London in 1996, Fevered Sleep specialises in bringing research-led work in theatre and dance, film, installation, print and digital art to public spaces, galleries, stages, and beyond.
Time Keeps the Drummer is, according to Fevered Sleep, an exploration of how children experience the rich emotional, philosophical, spiritual, and interpersonal tapestry of ‘passing time’.
What to expect? Well, maybe some faces you’ll recognise. Time Keeps the Drummer is collaborating with 12 local children to comprise the cast.
They’ll be joined by one adult percussionist playing a live motion-capture drumkit.
Part performance, part installation, the show is suitable for everyone: adults who are interested in contemporary experimental work, as well as children and families who are seeking out bold new experiences.
Time Keeps the Drummer is part of Brighton Festival and showing at Brighton Dome Corn Exchange
