Prolific local historian Kevin Newman is launching his latest book at an event in Hove this week.
Mr Newman, a former teacher turned author, is due to be speaking about his new book, Brighton at Work, as well as answering any questions and signing copies.
He will be at the Brunswick pub, in Hove, from 2pm to 3.30pm on Tuesday (25 August), with doors open from 1.30pm.
Entry is free and there will be a chance to buy discounted copies of the book which has a cover price of £15.99.
The book launch and signing is being presented by Brunswick Book Events – the pub’s first book event – and the bar will be open, with food available.
Mr Newman, as entertaining as he is erudite, will also be taking his latest light-hearted history tome on the road including to a ticketed event at Leonardslee Gardens on Sunday 20 September.
He said that his next book would be called Brighton and Hove in 25 Streets, adding: “I’m happy for readers to nominate any suggestions.”
