Ever fancied taking the wheel of a Volk’s Railway train?
Well now’s your chance – the vintage electric railway is offering people the chance to drive one of its historic railcars this autumn.
For £35, participants can do a complete round trip, with an introduction and safety briefing – and take along two guests for the ride.
The sessions, open to adults only, take place on Saturday 3 October and Sunday 4 October.
To book, email daly.brian.anthony@gmail.com.

What a splendid opportunity. £35 to take command of one’s own electric railway, with permission to bring two guests, seems almost indecently reasonable.
One has long maintained that public transport would be vastly improved if the public were permitted to drive it themselves.
I shall enquire whether they provide a uniform. Lady Bracknell does not operate rolling stock in casual attire.
