Twenty-year-old Malick Yalcouye is due to make his debut as Brighton and Hove Albion face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge at 2pm today (Sunday 30 August).
But Brighton are without Jack Hinshelwood and Georginio Rutter, with 19-year-old Charalampos “Babis” Kostoulas starting up front.
Albion skipper Lewis Dunk reverts to the centre of defence alongside Luka Vuskovic, with Olivier Boscagli and Ferdi Kadioglu completing the back four and with Bart Verbruggen in goal.
Pascal Gross, Mats Wieffer, Diego Gomez and Maxim De Cuyper join Yalcouye in facing a midfield-heavy Chelsea, with Xabi Alonso fielding three at the back.
Alonso has brought in Emiliano Martinex in goal in place of former Albion keeper Robert Sanchez who looks like he now has no future at the club.
The Blues are sticking with a few other familiar faces though, including Joao Pedro up front and former loanee Levi Colwill at the back.
The Chelsea bench today includes Danny Welbeck, Moises Caicedo and Valentin Barco.
As well as Martinez in goal, Alonso’s side includes another signing from Aston Villa, Morgan Rogers, who joins his England team-mate Cole Palmer in midfield.
Chelsea beat Fulham 3-2 in their opening match at Craven Cottage, with goals from Pedro, Palmer and Rogers.
Albion face a tougher test than they did seven days ago when they won 4-0 against an Aston Villa side in disarray.
