Electronic duo Digitalis announce 40th anniversary show

DIGITALIS – one of the South’s premier electronic music duos – have announced a special one-off 40th anniversary show, and thankfully this is going to be held in Brighton at the iconic Prince Albert. The date for your diary is Saturday 28th November, and the concert will be taking place in the afternoon, with doors opening at 2pm and the first band are looking to take the stage 30 minutes later. This first band being none other than London based emotionally immersive, dark electronic duo Palindrones. The event will run until 5pm.

DIGITALIS will be performing an hour-long set that will wind its way through all the stages of the band. These include Hi-NRG, Synth Pop, Rave, Techno, Industrial and EDM numbers. The Palindrones set will take punters on a shimmering and cathartic sonic journey with dreamy Industrial Synthpop, infused with pounding rhythms, haunting, evocative vocals and esoteric ambiance.

DIGITALIS are Graham Denman and Mike L’Angellier and they formed in Slough in 1986, but are now located in Lewes and Weymouth. If you’re a fan of the likes of Kraftwerk, Jean-Michel Jarre, Cabaret Voltaire, Depeche Mode, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Pet Shop Boys, New Order, Nitzer Ebb, Nine Inch Nails, Underworld, Royksopp, Goldfrapp, Robyn, Galantis, Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta, and Calvin Harris, then there’s something in the DIGITALIS sound for you – Check out their releases on their Bandcamp page HERE.

Palindrones (pics Sara-Louise Bowrey)

Palindrones are an emotionally immersive, captivating, dark electronic duo from South London, comprising Karen Bell (vocals, synth, hardwood percussion rhythm sticks) and Jamie Zahra-Hall (synth, percussion, electronics, vocals). They got things together during lockdown back in 2020 as a way of staying connected whilst living on opposite sides of London. Their name, Palindrones, speaks to the duality at the heart of their artistry—where symmetry, reflection, and contradiction fuel both their music and their creative process. They take listeners on a shimmering and cathartic sonic journey with dreamy Industrial Synthpop, infused with pounding rhythms, haunting, evocative vocals and esoteric ambiance.
