All My Friends Day Disco is bringing a full afternoon and evening of indie-pop nostalgia to Brighton Dome on Saturday 17 October, as part of this year’s Brighton Comedy Festival.
The Brighton debut of the popular club night, also known to regulars as Dancing With Dave, promises five hours of wall-to-wall indie and pop anthems spanning the 1980s, 90s, 00s and today, all played out in one of Brighton’s most iconic venues.
Taking to the decks will be podcast favourites Elis James, John Robins and Dave Masterman, who are reunited behind the decks for the first time in more than two years. There will also be appearances from special guests along the way.
Rather than waiting until the small hours, All My Friends is very much a daytime-to-evening affair, running from 3pm until 8pm – perfect for tired indie mums and dads. Expect big choruses, familiar favourites and plenty of dancing as the Concert Hall is transformed into an indie disco.
The event is part of Brighton Dome Comedy Festival, in cahoots with Komedia, although the emphasis here is firmly on the music, with the DJs promising a soundtrack designed for singing along as much as dancing. The bar will be open, although audiences cannot move between the stalls and circle, so it is worth choosing your preferred setup when booking.
The event will also be filmed for a future episode of Dancing With Dave Adventures of Elis & John.
The event is suitable for ages 14 and over, with under-18s required to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.
