We can name more songs than we should be able to; we all want to sing along, and some of us can even name all the members. There is a reason. Westlife were, and still are, a great band. And now they are coming to the Brighton Centre as part of their 25th anniversary celebrations.
Westlife’s biggest hits include the unforgettable ballads “Flying Without Wings”, “You Raise Me Up”, “My Love” and “Swear It Again”, alongside crowd-pleasers such as “Uptown Girl”, “World of Our Own”, “Mandy”, “Queen of My Heart” and “If I Let You Go”.
Their achievements are equally impressive: they have scored 14 UK Number 1 singles, a total surpassed only by The Beatles and Elvis Presley, with their first seven singles all reaching Number 1. They also have 25 UK Top 10 singles and eight Number 1 albums, and they have sold more than 55 million records worldwide.
Bringing together a quarter-century of unforgettable hits, the tour promises a feel-good night packed with huge choruses, timeless ballads and plenty of nostalgia. With songs that have become the soundtrack to countless memories, this anniversary tour gives fans old and new a chance to celebrate Westlife’s remarkable career. Expect an energetic, emotional and hugely entertaining evening from one of pop’s most enduring groups.
Westlife will be appearing at The Brighton Centre on Tuesday 13th October.
Tickets are available from Ticketmaster.
