Brighton & Hove Albion: Poyet wants players to get it out of their systems!

Gus Poyet said this morning that Albion’s players needed to get the Palace defeat out of their systems and suggested any who couldn’t might struggle at this football club.

He said that he didn’t want to make this – being beaten by Palace – bigger than it was.

He spoke about the versatility of Romain Vincelot, saying how surprised he was that the player thought his best position was centre half and that he or Steve Cook would replace the suspended Lewis Dunk on Saturday.

Poyet did not elaborate too much on the decison to omit Inigo Calderon from the match squad on Tuesday saying there were a few reasons for this and he felt he needed to change something in defence.

When asked by Brighton and Hove News what he thought of Ipswich’s recent good form he said that when you have good players and a good manager sooner or later you are going to have a good run of games.

He went on to say that he respects Paul Jewell a lot and knows he is doing everthing he can to get Ipswich into the Premier League.

Afterwards Grodon Greer said how much he and the other players were looking forward to training today and had been given time to think about the past week as they had yesterday off  and were looking forward  to the game on Saturday.

He went on to heap praise on Mauricio Tarrico saying he was disappointed when the assitant boss went off Tuesday night. He went on to say how calm he was on the ball and spoke about his wealth of experience.

Greer also suggested that Lewis Dunk coped well with the press specualtation regarding the interest of the big clubs saying Dunky was a level-headed guy.
