Brighton and Hove Albion will host Newcastle United in the 4th round of the FA Cup if they can overcome non-league Wrexham,

Albion are due to travel to the Racecourse Ground in North Wales after being held 1-1 at the Amex yesterday (Saturday 7 January).

The replay is expected to kick off at 7.45pm a week on Tuesday (17 January).

If Albion win, Kazenga LuaLua could face his old club.

The Magpies are currently seventh in the Premiership and beat Blackburn in their 3rd round tie.

The 4th round tie is likely to be played on Saturday 28 January or Sunday 29 January. A few of the 16 fixtures may be played on the Friday or Monday.

Albion beat Newcastle on the way to the final in the 3rd round in January 1983.

After a 1-1 draw at the Goldstone Ground, First Division Albion beat Second Division Newcastle 1-0 at St James’ Park.

Three years later Newcastle were back in the top flight – the old First Division – when the two clubs met in the 3rd round again. This time Albion were the Second Division side.

The Seagulls won 2-0 in the north east on their way to the quarter finals when Southampton won by the same score at the Goldstone.
