Police have charged a man with a series of sex attacks on women on Hove Lawns.
Fattah Derrahi, a 59-year-old British national, has been charged with nine counts of sexual assault, spanning the period from August, 2023 to October, 2025.
Victims reported being sexually assaulted by a man who approached them around the Hove Lawns area, typically in the morning while they were exercising or post-exercising.
Derrahi, of Farm Road in Hove, appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (15 November), where he was remanded in custody to appear at Lewes Crown Court on Wednesday, 10 December.
Detective Inspector Sharon Ford said: “I know these reports were concerning for the public, and I would like to thank everyone who came forward with information to support the investigation.
“We will continue to conduct proactive patrols in the area as part of our ongoing commitment to protecting women and girls in Brighton and Hove.”
