PREVIEW: Katie Kirby at Brighton Festival – Brighton Dome, Concert Hall
The fantastically funny and relatable Lottie Brooks diary series, by number one bestselling author and illustrator Katie Kirby, is filled with first experiences, friendship fails, embarrassing moments and plenty of laughs.
And so is this event!
I have a secret. I love Lottie Brooks. I love the fact that she makes my daughter put down her book and shout ‘omigod you won’t BELIEVE what Amber has done now’.
I also want to hear what Daniel will do next. I love the fact that I get read funny passages over and over and I LOVE that my daughter and her friends went as Lottie and her friends for World Book Day and everyone got it.
Lottie is adored by KS2 girls across the country. But when Kirby does do book signings in Brighton, they sell out.
I can’t imagine a more relatable character – and it does help that children can recognise some of the landmarks in the book.
The blurb for this event tells us that this will be filled with first experiences, friendship fails, embarrassing moments and plenty of laughs.
I want to tell you: this is not to be missed!
