Police are trying to identify two men after a girl reported being sexually assaulted in the sea between the piers.
Sussex Police said: “Police are investigating a report that a teenage girl was sexually touched over clothing on Brighton beach, in an area near to the bottom of West Street.
“The incident was reported to have happened in the late afternoon / early evening on Tuesday 23 June.
“The men were alleged to have approached the victim and her friend a short time earlier and sat with them on the beach before the offence took place in the water.
“Officers would now like to speak with the two men in the images in connection with further inquiries.
“If you recognise them, or have any information to report, contact police online, or by calling 101 quoting reference 1694 of 23/06.”
