Soundbaths from Nature at The Old Market

Preview: Soundbaths from Nature

Thursday September 3rd – 6th. Various times.

As Summer begins to seep into Autumn, the routine of the rest of the year kicks in with all the stress, noise and pressure that comes with it.

The Old Market in Hove is offering to help ease us into the new season with a series of relaxing and immersive sound baths.

Sink into a bean bag (chairs are also available to those who prefer a sturdier foundation), zone out and enjoy the sounds of nature through the venue’s surround sound system.

Senses are filled as nature’s tones resonate through this innovative space, while projections of distant landscapes and whispering forests, rolling waves and and wind-swept skies flood the floor-to-ceiling walls of The Old Market’s immersive Box venue.

For twenty blissful minutes, the audience can enjoy the peace of the natural world and get taken to a place of deep relaxation before heading, perhaps floating, back into the day with a calmed nervous system.

The sound baths are just one of the events hosted as part of The Old Market’s Feel Good festival which aims to remind us how important live events and the arts are to our general wellbeing.

Ambient soundscapes and storytelling from generations past are included in the programme which features Meditations by FACESOUL and a boundary-pushing audio/visual performance by Indigaura.
