Brighton and Hove Albion face Manchester United in the third round of the Carabao Cup, with the draw having taken place on Sky TV after Everton’s 4-0 win at Preston North End.

Both sides enter the competition in the third round as one of nine English teams playing European football this season.

The tie is one of five definite all-Premier League fixtures, with Liverpool to host Tottenham Hotspur, Ipswich Town at home to Arsenal, Coventry City hosting Aston Villa and Sunderland at home to Hull City.

If Chelsea see off Luton Town, they will host Leeds United in another top-flight fixture.

Holders Manchester City have been drawn at home to Norwich City and Crystal Palace face Middlesbrough at Selhurst Park.

Here is the draw in full …

  • Crystal Palace v Middlesbrough
  • Manchester United v Brighton and Hove Albion
  • Manchester City v Norwich City
  • Sunderland v Hull City
  • Ipswich Town v Arsenal
  • Coventry City v Aston Villa
  • Bournemouth v Lincoln City
  • Liverpool v Tottenham Hotspur
  • Chelsea or Luton Town v Leeds United
  • Millwall v Newcastle United
  • Fleetwood Town v Sheffield United
  • Everton v Wolverhampton Wanderers
  • Leyton Orient v Bradford City
  • Reading v Brentford
  • Peterborough v Barnsley
  • West Ham United v Fulham or AFC Wimbledon

The ties are due to take place over two legs in the week commencing Monday 7 September and the week starting on Monday 14 September.
