A stripper from Brighton is accused of attacking the landlord and landlady of a village pub after they accused her of being too drunk to dance.
Holly Jaswal, 23, from Langley Crescent, Woodingdean, is alleged to have knocked out the landlady and hit her husband in the eye with the stiletto heel of one of her shoes.
Jaswal, who was naked at the time of the incident, is on trial at Guildford Crown Court on two counts of assault causing actual bodily harm.
She admits hitting the couple but insists that she acted in self defence and that the landlady had racially abused her.
Ruby Selva, prosecuting, told the court that the attack took place at The Crown pub in Knaphill, near Woking, Surrey, in July last year.
The pub, owned by David O’Brien, 43, and his wife Toni, has since lost its licence over concerns about the way that it was being run.
Ms Selva said that Jaswal had become cross when she was accused of being drunk.
She said that the O’Briens were told by a member of their staff that Jaswal had been so drunk that she could not get her shoes on so had danced barefoot.
The couple told Jaswal that they would tell the agency that employed her – Angels Exotic Dancers – and that she would not be booked to dance at the pub in the future.
Michael Hillman, defending, suggested that the O’Briens were drunk themselves. They deny this.
The Crown has gone out of business since it was closed.
The incident involving Jaswal was described as one of 43 occasions on which police were called to attend the premises.
Its licence was revoked by Woking Borough Council after repeated complaints about noise and criminal damage.
The trial continues, with Recorder Cheryl Jones due to sum up tomorrow morning before sending the jury out to consider their verdict.
