A Portslade man who tried to help his killer brother cover up a murder has been brought back to court.
Navid Iran, 23, of St Richard’s Road, Portslade, has been committed for trial by Brighton magistrates.
The bench sent Iran for trial at Lewes Crown Court on a charge of wounding and assault causing grievous bodily harm.
The offence is alleged to have been committed on Monday 31 January while Iran was awaiting trial over the death of Stefan Welch.
Mr Welch was murdered by Iran’s brother Sean Iran, 21, and their father Babak Iran also helped cover up the crime.
Sean Iran is serving a 19-year prison sentence, Navid Iran a six-year sentence and Babak Iran a seven-year term.
