A Brighton woman has spent £200,000 on 53 cosmetic surgery treatments in an attempt to look like the Ancient Egyptian queen Nefertiti.
As a result, Nileen Namita, 50, even had to withdraw her daughter Rachel, 16, from Roedean, the girls’ school in Brighton, because she could no longer afford the fees.
The Daily Mail today details the extraordinary catalogue of cosmetic procedures undergone by divorced Mrs Namita – and their consequences.
The list includes eight nose operations, three chin implants, an eyebrow lift, three facelifts, six mini facelifts, two lip surgeries, five eye surgeries, cheek implants and 24 minor tweaks.
The artist and writer plans to have more operations.
Mrs Namita, who was born in Germany, has also told her story on the ITV programme This Morning.
She said that she began to have dreams about Nefertiti from 1987 and decided that she was a reincarnation of the Beauty of the Nile.
Her daughter Rachel is not convinced. She comes across in the Daily Mail report as much more conventional than her mother.
Rachel told the Mail: “I can’t understand why she wants to put herself through all this pain.
“She lives for the next surgical procedure and yet most of it now is to correct problems with past operations such as wonky nostrils or lips.
“Often she is in agony. It is hard to watch someone live like that.”
Mrs Namita said: “Being Nefertiti is my destiny.”
