A motorcyclist died when his Suzuki GSF 1200 motorbike was in collision with a silver VW Golf on Ditchling Road, Brighton.
The collision happened at 8.15pm on Wednesday, June 16, just south of the junction with Coldean Lane.
The rider, a 39-year-old man from Burgess Hill, who was travelling south, received fatal injuries and died at the scene.
The driver of the Golf, a 30-year-old man from Hove, was uninjured. Ditchling Road was closed from Old Boat Corner to Hollingbury Golf Club until 11.40pm.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw either of the vehicles in the area shortly beforehand to call 0845 60 70 999 quoting Operation Stonyford.
