A man and a woman were killed in a motorbike crash outside the King Alfred Leisure Centre on the A259 Kingsway in Hove in the early hours of the morning.
The road remains closed eastbound while a full investigation is carried out, although police say they hope to open it by about 8.30am.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash, which happened at 1am. Enquiries are ongoing to identify the two victims.
