The police excavation of serial killer Peter Tobin’s former home in Portslade is to concentrate on a 20ft well in the back garden.

The search has also started inside the building at 67 Station Road, where Tobin ran a cafe called Ye Olde Tea Room, living in a flat above with his second wife and baby son.

The other site under investigation in Marine Parade, Kemp Town, will not be searched today for logistical reasons.
