A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after a hit and run crash outside a Brighton supermarket this morning.
A driver crashed into bins outside Waitrose in Western Road, Brighton, and ran from the scene at around 7.35am.
A 28-year-old man sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries after being struck by one of the seven wheelie bins.
He has been taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, with suspected broken ribs.
The driver is described as being of Asian appearance, 5ft 8in tall, with blood-shot eyes and wearing a black jacket.
Police are also looking for an Asian man, a black man and a white woman who were passengers in the car and also ran from the scene.
