Work is due to start on the Pepperpot in Queen’s Park, Brighton, to restore it to its former glory.

The paint job on the exterior of the Pepperpot is also intended to provide protection for the tower.

The work is expected to last for several months.

In the meantime the first annual general meeting of the Friends of the Pepperpot is due to take place on Thursday 10 March at 7.30pm.

It is scheduled to be held in the upstairs room of the Pub with No Name at the top of Southover Street in the Hanover district of Brighton.

Admission is free.
