A man has appeared in court charged with carrying out a sex attack on an elderly woman in her home in Brighton.
Napindi Palu, 29, was charged of committing two acts of sexual assault at the woman’s ground floor flat in Varndean Road, Brighton, in the early hours of Wednesday 4 May.
Palu, of Thurtle Road, Bethnal Green, London, was also charged with trespassing with intent to commit a sexual offence.
The victim, who cannot be named, is in her sixties.
He appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court this morning to answer the charges.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Lewes Crown Court on Friday 22 July.
