Court remands Hove stabbing suspect in custody
Magistrates have remanded a Hove man in custody after he was brought to court accused of a stabbing.
Earl Martin, 32, of Salisbury Road, Hove, appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Monday 23 May).
He was charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm.
Martin is alleged to have stabbed a 28-year-old man in Harmsworth Crescent in Hangleton early on Saturday (21 May).
Sussex Police found the victim bleeding from six stab wounds and he remains in a critical condition at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
Martin is due to appear before a judge at Lewes Crown Court on Friday 5 August.
