About 20 cars have had their paintwork scratched in Portslade.
Sussex Police issued an appeal for information about the incident in which parked cars were “keyed” – scratched with what appears to have been a key – in Victoria Road and Beaconsfield Road.
The vandal struck between 10pm on Tuesday (30 August) and 4am on Wednesday (31 August).
PC Simon Larder said: “This type of mindless damage is very distressing for the owners of the vehicles and we are keen to hear from anyone who may have information which will assist us with our inquiries.”
