Two men have been arrested on a bus after a robbery in the centre of Brighton early yesterday (Saturday 12 May).
Sussex Police said that the incident may have been filmed and appealed for anyone who had recorded the attack to come forward.
Two men approached a group of seven at the war memorial in Old Steine at about 5.45am and attacked them. This continued along to the Royal Pavilion and the pair stole a watch from one of the victims.
Detective Constable Steve Amner said: “Shortly afterwards, two men were arrested on a number 25 bus heading towards the Moulsecoomb area.
“The victims believe that someone may have witnessed the attack and captured it on video and I would very much like to talk to that person and take a look at anything they managed to film.”
He urged anyone who saw the incident in Brighton or who was travelling on the bus to call Sussex Police on 101.
Two men, aged 21 and 26, both from Brighton, were arrested, questioned and later bailed until Sunday 17 June.
